Naraku, having discreetly watched his incarnations' plot against him unfold, disables Hakudoshi's barrier and withdraws the Saimyōshō, somehow allowing Miroku to suck Hakudoshi up into his Wind Tunnel. Hakudoshi gives the jewel shard to Goryomaru, who reveals himself to actually be Moryomaru, and sends him after Kohaku.
